Hiking-friendly Family Pictures

The parents at this family session kept reminding their sweet girls, especially the youngest, "You've been on harder hikes than this! We hike all the time!" Families who enjoy mountains get great backdrops for photos :) Here's looking forward to a breathtaking Christmas photo!

My First "First Look"

I have waited so long to do a first look shoot--I've done lots of bridals and weddings, but never that iconic moment of the groom's absolute joy seeing his bride all brided up. And now that I have done a first look shoot, I am ready to do sooooooooo many more! 

Park Pictures

There's a magical place in Salt Lake called Memory Grove Park (see Sunday Night in the Park and Tuesday Morning Family Photos). I've been back a few more times. It's kind of one of my favorite places :) And we all need favorite places, right?

Bridals on the Side of the Road

The last few times we've driven from Mountain Green to Eden, I've looked out the window and thought, Wow! That would be a great spot for photos! Finally the opportunity to take pictures up there arose and, better yet, it involved a great big wedding dress. I LOVED this session! The best part was that, because we were only 20 feet from the road edge, the people driving by kept honking at the gorgeous couple. Here's hoping I have an opportunity to shoot there again soon!

Poppy Field Maternity

These are my friends, Sierra and Joe. Sierra was my companion for an LDS mission in Honduras for 3 months, and then my roommate for a year. She was there the first time I met my husband, she was the first person (after my parents) I told about my pregnancy, we were each other's unofficial maids of honor--you get it, we're besties. And now she's having a baby girl, and it was my supreme pleasure to take her maternity photos.
