Sunset Engagements

For this latest engagement session, my friends asked if we could revisit the site of their first date. Ready for adventure, I agreed. Little did I know I was about to discover a magical mountainside meadow! (Yes, the alliteration was necessary--that's how beautiful it was up there) What an amazing night, with view after view taking my breath away, and then holding said taken breath as we rolled down the mountain in neutral with our gas light on :) So totally worth it!

Post-Pregnancy Photography Craving

While I was pregnant, I loved cravings--having a craving was the only time I a) knew exactly what I wanted to eat and b) didn't feel sick after eating. I don't get those any more, seeing as my baby was born three months ago. However, last night I was overcome with a desire to take pictures. And who do I call when I need to take pictures at the drop of a hat? Why, the Barwicks, of course! This was not only a fun scouting adventure to a new spot, but a good dry run for Sierra's maternity shoot in a few weeks. And a great experiment with Lightroom online, since my software isn't working :/

PLUS this cute bonus one of my hubby and my baby. I LOVE them!

Senior Portraits on a Windy Day

Normally, I get really excited to photograph people with long hair. Especially long, beautiful, dark red hair like Hailey's. But I feel terribly guilty as soon as we felt the first gust of wind, and all of that gorgeous hair went right into Hailey's face! Fortunately we had a good support, hair holding and brushing team (Go, Chris!) and with patience we got a great session.

Two Seniors, THREE Doggos

So when I thought about pet photography for the first time, I thought, I should maybe think twice before having more than one animal at a shoot. That was a good caveat for myself. Luckily, this multi-puppers shoot went just fine, but WOW, that was a lot of energy!
