Montoya Family

When I got a text message from the mother of this beautiful family at 11:45pm asking if we could take pictures before noon on the following day, I could only think, This is a woman after my own heart. In all honesty, I walked into this session completely terrified: every photographer knows that good photos can't happen without good light, and 1pm isn't good light. But thankfully I remembered attending a reception at Thanksgiving Point, and thankfully there are enough shady places there to patch together a session of photos, and thankfully the Montoya family has a great sense of humor. It's a good day to be thankful.
